Test, calibrate, and repair both mechanical and electronic measuring and test equipment (MTE) for conformance to established national standards. Plan sequence of testing and calibration procedures for MTE according to procedures, schematics, technical manuals, and other specifications. Set up standards and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate MTE. Align, repair, replace, and balance component parts and circuitry. Assist in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of MTE. Provide field maintenance on MTE when required.
Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:
- US citizen or US permanent resident
- Formal PMEL training through the military preferred
- A minimum of 4-6 years PMEL experience required
- Physical / dimensional experience
- Electrical / RF microwave experience
- Basic electronic and computer skills
- Capable of heavy lifting (50 to 80 lbs)
